Originally numbered 985.213, this snowplough was built in 1962 on the frames of 52.6940.
52.6940 was built by the Wiener Lokomotivfabrik at Florisdorf as a part of a batch constructed between February and December 1943. It passed directly to the Austrian state railways and was withdrawn from service on 15 May 1960.
